Display personal family tree data on the timeline from a third party service (e.g. MyHeritage.com)
This feature would allow you to link with an existing account with a personal family tree service (e.g. myheritage.com or ancestry.com).
The family data that has been entered on the other site would be automatically imported and displayed on the timeline, with an option to colour code the people according to their family connection (e.g. grand-parents in Green, first cousins in blue etc).
You would then be able to create timelines using any combinations of your family tree events and the existing historical events and timelines in Histropedia, allowing you to build up a picture of what the world was like for you ancestors.
If information has been added about where an ancestor lived, then the system would be able to automatically generate the local history for that person during the time they were alive - the user would just have to specify a distance of interest (e.g. anything within 30km of where they lived)
Note: The automatic local history would make use of another planned feature http://histropedia.uservoice.com/forums/246686-general/suggestions/6333650
